October 5th has been celebrated as World Teachers’ Day since 1994
A key figure in curbing school failure and offering an inclusive education focused on attention to diversity.
Being a teacher implies something more than a category or a social position; it is not a throne from which to observe, judge, or give orders. Being true teachers is an exercise for the brave; it is fighting daily, making decisions, running, struggling, worrying, but also guiding, leading, accompanying, listening… Víctor Soler, PhD in Sociology.
Disruptive behaviors in the classroom and the support of families
Teachers also encounter disruptive behaviors in the classroom on a daily basis, which create a group climate that is not conducive to the proper functioning of the class or to reinforcing the teacher’s figure. The educational action carried out by the family must be complemented by the action carried out by the school. The child should not perceive the teacher as something opposed to the family itself, which acts differently. Therefore, parents must show our educational interest by attending school appointments or meetings, interviews with the tutor, speaking positively about the teachers, in short, collaborating and strengthening the relationship with those who want the same end as us.
If you are a parent or educator, recognize that this is your most important, demanding, and rewarding challenge. What you do every day, what you say, and how you act will influence the shaping of the future of our society more than any other factor.” Marion Wrght Edelman

Teachers, the main detectors of learning and development difficulties of the student
The teachers are also an important agent in detecting problems that interfere with the learning and development of students. Together with the parents, each from their field and in a complementary way, they can appreciate in children indications or signs of problems in the basic capacities and behaviors for learning: motor, socialization, language skills, attention and perception difficulties, and cognitive or emotional problems, allowing a successful intervention that facilitates the affected child a psycho-evolutionary development that maximizes their possibilities.
From díde, we want to thank the teachers and maestras for the very important work you do, not only at an individual and family level, but also at a social level, since together with the families, you lay the first foundations of the future of our society.
“What is given to children, children will give to society.” (K. A. Menninger)
