How can I help my child improve their grades? Collaboration for Parents and Schools

The end of the school year is approaching, and soon students and families will receive their grades, a situation that often generates uncertainty, fears, joys, and frustrations. Good communication between family and school is important.

In this collaboration for the educational magazine “Padres y Colegios,” we wanted to highlight the importance of early prevention and detection of learning difficulties, emotional or behavioral issues not visible in the child. It is estimated that around 20% of children who get bad grades and “fail” in school do so because they have these types of difficulties.

Sometimes the communication between family and school is not as fluid as desired, and the moment of communicating grades to parents can create added stress or tension. The team of professionals at díde knows this, and therefore the method was configured to be a means of communication, facilitating the transmission of information between them.

Education professionals and families alike must be open to new methodologies that allow us to better understand the child and their circumstances. There are indicators directly related to their learning, and it is necessary to understand what is happening to them in order to help them, so that grades cease to be a threat to their well-being.

There is a theory that conveys this message akin to the díde effect:

The simple flutter of a butterfly can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world.

The simple fact that a family, a school, or institutions begin to prevent early on can change the world. What can parents and education professionals do to promote the well-being of the child? How can we identify their needs in order to understand and help them?

Join the díde effect and together we will transform differences into opportunities.
