dide.org opens its detection tool so families can learn about their children’s development.

dide.org, the international educational technology company, will open its detection tool, previously only accessible to teachers and educational centers, to families, which will allow them to identify early potential skills and difficulties of children from 3 to 16 years old on an emotional, behavioral, and educational level. In addition, they will be able to access intervention and reinforcement resources developed and updated by pedagogues, psychologists, neuropediatricians, technologists, school principals, nutritionists, and lawyers with extensive experience in the field of education.

The development of the technological platform has involved an investment volume of more than 2 million euros and is the result of the analysis, carried out in 8 countries in Europe and Latin America by families, educators, and guidance offices in a collaborative way, to monitor the evolution of more than 25,000 children in early childhood, primary, and secondary education.

This analysis carried out by dide.org showed that the main variables identified in minors were related to areas such as disobedience, difficulties in learning calculation and numerical reasoning, memory, and difficulties in learning reading and writing and the handling of verbal language. This analysis also made it possible to identify the predisposition to advanced capabilities.

According to Elena Betés Novoa, CEO of Dide.org, “most parents believe that we know our children perfectly, which means that, on occasions, certain signs of difficulties or potential in the development process of our children may go unnoticed. Also –adds Betés—we are the closest to them, so it is important to have a tool that allows us to detect them early and be able to adopt the appropriate measures for their benefit.”

For her part, Nuria Ros, Doctor of Psychology, explains that “from Dide.org we will help families identify possible problems and potential. By carrying out a Dide study, they will be able to identify, if necessary, which specialist to go to, which means significant economic and time savings. Until now –she adds– this process forced families to spend a lot of time through guidance offices and different specialists until they could identify and intervene in the appropriate way. In addition, through the tool, they will receive the guidelines for action to improve.”

35 Indicators

The tool relies on a simple questionnaire, based on 35 indicators, which are completed, in a non-invasive way and without the intervention of minors, by the people around them. These markers are structured in the areas of Learning, Development, Social, Behavioral, and Emotional. Dide offers users different adapted and customizable reports that contain detailed information grouped into capabilities, skills, and possible needs that allow the early detection of skills and difficulties in the development process of minors.
