Data privacy and security

Your trust is our priority

We guarantee the highest protection of personal and educational data with certification from the National Security Scheme (ENS) in Medium category, and with the participation and recommendation of the use of DIDE within the PROA+ Program of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.

In addition, we have the Seal of Excellence from the European Union, for the high social impact that the use of DIDE represents in educational centers, by allowing teachers to know all their students from the first minutes, favoring a more personalized attention and the maximum educational success.

Our systems are hosted and protected by Occentus Network, a Spanish provider with ENS certification in the High category and with all the international ISO security standardsISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000-1—, guaranteeing that the data on the DIDE platform is protected in Valencia (Spain) under the strictest European standards of security and confidentiality.

DIDE in the PROA+ Program

The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports of Spain recommends the use of the DIDE platform within the PROA+ Program (Program for Educational Guidance, Advancement and Enrichment) as a tool to strengthen the processes of inclusion and educational equity in schools.

The PROA+ program, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU, aims to promote innovation and educational improvement in public and subsidized schools in Spain.
In this framework, DIDE is proposed as a solution to:

  • Advance towards an inclusive school.

  • Facilitate teaching practice through technological tools for observation and guidance.

  • Optimize school organization and coordination between teachers and guidance teams.

  • Promote the educational success of all students.

  • Promote the early detection of learning difficulties and support needs.

The use of DIDE in PROA+ reinforces its social and educational impact, aligned with the European objectives of inclusion, equity and child welfare.

Commitment to privacy

At DIDE.ORG we work with a clear purpose: to improve the education and emotional well-being of minors, always protecting their privacy and respecting European and Spanish data protection regulations.

Within the framework of DIDE studies, data is obtained through observations from teachers and families, without direct participation of the minor. Each educational center or office can decide the level of anonymization or pseudonymization of the information according to its internal policy.

Other projects and complementary tools developed by DIDE may incorporate new forms of student participation, always guaranteeing strict compliance with data protection regulations.

DIDE acts as a “data processor”, while educational centers or offices are the data controllers, following the GDPR and the LOPDGDD.
This means that DIDE protects, hosts and encrypts the data, but only the centers decide how and with what level of anonymization they wish to work

Our secure infrastructure

Certified and audited security

At DIDE we have carried out an important work of technological, documentary and organizational adaptation to obtain the certification of the National Security Scheme (ENS) in Medium category, guaranteeing that our systems comply with the highest standards required by the Spanish Public Administration.

This certification, which reinforces our commitment to security and trust, allows us to collaborate with Public Administrations and their educational centers, ensuring that the data processed on the DIDE platform is managed with full guarantees of confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Our information systems are hosted in Occentus Network (Valencia, Spain), a provider certified according to the ENS in the High category, which provides the physical infrastructure and technical measures necessary for compliance with the rules of security and service continuity.

  • Data protected by TLS 1.3 encryption and AES at rest.

  • Restricted access through multifactor authentication.

  • 24/7 surveillance, environmental control and energy redundancy.

  • Continuous monitoring of vulnerabilities by Edgewatch (CNA designated by INCIBE).

Anonymization and data control

  • DIDE studies are carried out without direct intervention of the minor, based on the information provided by teachers and/or families.

  • Each student can be identified in the cloud by name, pseudonym or internal ID, as decided by the educational center or office that performs the study.

  • DIDE offers each organization all anonymization and pseudonymization options, so that the level of privacy most appropriate to their needs can be configured.

  • Reports can be generated anonymized or nominal, and centers can share them with families when they deem it appropriate.

  • In each download or report generation, the system automatically records who issues it, when and from which account, guaranteeing complete traceability and access security.

  • Families are always informed about the processing of data in the invitations, reports and communications issued by the platform.

  • At the end of the service, DIDE does not delete or return the data, since these are managed directly by the educational center or office, which acts as data controller and has its own secure environment within the platform to manage, preserve or delete the information according to its data protection policy. DIDE acts exclusively as data processor, guaranteeing the security and availability of the environment during the time the service is contracted.

  • DIDE only retains completely anonymized information, without names, centers or locations, for the purposes of research, continuous improvement of the platform and aggregated statistical studies.

Where the data is stored

Where the data resides and how it is protected

The information managed by DIDE is hosted entirely in Spanish territory, within the data processing centers of Occentus Network, located in Paterna (Valencia).

Occentus Network is our hosting and security provider and acts as subcontracted data processor, complying with the National Security Scheme (ENS) in the High category and with the main international security certifications, among them:

  • ISO 27001 — Information security management

  • ISO 27017 — Security in cloud services

  • ISO 27018 — Protection of personal data in the cloud

  • ISO 22301 — Business continuity

  • ISO 20000-1 — IT service management

The data is not transferred outside the European Union, it is stored under encrypted infrastructure, with restricted and controlled access, and is protected against any physical or digital incident.

In addition, Occentus and DIDE work under permanent supervision of the security management system, with periodic external audits in accordance with the National Security Scheme (ENS) and the European RGPD regulations.

Shared responsibility

At DIDE we assume our technical and legal responsibilities as data processors, applying the highest security guarantees.

The educational centers and offices are responsible for the use of the data, deciding the level of identification or anonymization that best suits their environment and students.

DIDE is designed to be flexible, secure and respectful of any level of privacy required.
