Addressing diversity and the role of remote educational guidance
The díde team, together with its distributor EDELVIVES, wants to help make confinement due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak a little more bearable, and therefore, we support the groups we work with: teachers, educational counselors, and families.
Currently, many of the psycho-pedagogical evaluations have not been able to start or have been left up in the air. In order to continue with remote guidance, díde, through its platform, continues to pursue its objectives by supporting the needs and learning of students even from home, remotely.
díde is an online educational needs information platform that helps minors and supports all agents involved in the child’s development process, whether it be their own parents, educators, or guidance, psycho-pedagogy, and neurodevelopment professionals.
The tool automatically collects and obtains information through a series of indicators collected in mini questionnaires.
These questionnaires, pre-designed and customizable, are completed 100% online by the different observers of the minor’s environment (parents and educators) by the observational method.
The objective is to identify, among all, the child’s individual profile from all possible perspectives, achieving:
- Identify possible difficulties and potential of the minor
- Understand their current situation
- Establish, if necessary, the appropriate professional verifications and subsequent interventions.
The guidance professional obtains multiple benefits, among others:
- Obtain a lot of unknown information about the minor in a short time
- The study and analysis can be carried out individually or in groups
Online training for professionals of the Colegio Nacional de Psicopedagogía de Panamá on the díde application
We gladly attend to your request for information on the díde methodology for the identification of possible educational needs and diversity management.
Therefore, next Thursday June 18 at 10 a.m. (Panama) / 5 p.m. (Spain), we will hold a free online session so that the educational counselors associated with the Colegio Nacional de Psicopedagogía de Panamá (CONAPSIPEDPA) can learn more about this methodology that will undoubtedly favor your remote work.
The session (of approximately 1 hour) will be taught from Spain by Nuria Ros Cubel (Doctor of Psychology) and Alberto Ramírez (Specialist in educational technology), we will talk about:
- The special vulnerability of students with special educational needs at this time.
- The adaptation of counselors to remote work to maintain attention to students and their families
- Demonstration of the díde educational platform
At any time, all your doubts will be addressed, such as the following formulated by educational counselors:
- Can díde be used to find out the status of the difficulties that students may have before starting the new course and thus be able to have that “end-of-course photo” and be prepared for the next one?
- Can díde be used for those children whose evaluation was halfway through or even without starting, or for those who were waiting?
- Does díde allow a pretest-posttest use to follow up on cases?
- Can díde help us in cases where the family refuses to recognize that the child needs a diagnosis and help?
If you are interested in attending the online session, you only have to request the link from the Colegio Nacional de Psicopedagogía de Panamá to be able to connect to the meeting on June 18 at 10 a.m. (Panama).
If you belong to another professional association of educational guidance and want to organize a videoconference to learn about the díde methodology, send us the contact form and tell us how we can help you.
