Conference on ADHD in Palencia: “The school, ADHD and me.”

A call for attention to diversity and the right of all students with specific educational support needs

Under the motto “The school, ADHD and me”, the IX conference on ADHD in Palencia is presented, which will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in the España – Duero auditorium on Calle Mayor Principal 54 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Association TDA-H Palencia focuses exclusively on addressing the disorder in schools because, according to those responsible:

  • teachers demand information and training on the disorder;
  • parents want the disorder to be addressed in the best possible way to guarantee the educational success of their children;
  • the educational administration of Castilla y León is modifying its rules for access to attention to diversity in education, limiting the right of all students with specific educational support needs to an individualized intervention focused on their strengths and potential.

D. Ángel Terrón González and D. Alberto Jiménez Fernández, psychologists and directors of EDUC-AT MADRID, will address the conference “Keys in school matters for a correct multidisciplinary intervention in the approach to ADHD” with the moderation of Dña. María Mendaña García, psychologist of the TDA-H Palencia Association.

Likewise, D. Francisco Javier Lozano Soriano, writer and specialist in School Guidance, will present the conference “ADHD, school and adolescence“, with Doña Alba García Gil, pedagogue and guidance counselor of TDAH Palencia, acting as moderator.

Next, a discussion will begin between D. Francisco Javier Lozano and the attendees. The final round table will close the activity.

Early detection of ADHD and other learning difficulties avoids frustration and low self-esteem. Díde

It is obvious that early detection of Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity (ADHD) has an impact on the well-being and motivation of the child. Early detection is a victory for the child, for their family and for the educational system, since it avoids situations that can end in school failure or emotional problems derived from the lack of attention and specialized guidance.

Aware of this, the Association TDA-H Palencia implements in its detection procedures the díde method, an innovative technology for the early detection of ADHD and other learning difficulties and development of children and adolescents from 2 years of age. The díde method is created by and for education and guidance professionals; tested and endorsed by the Official Associations of psychologists and educational psychologists of the C.V.

Children with this diagnosis have much to learn from, their way of being and doing in the world is very valuable and the díde team does not want their potential and development to be affected.

This methodology aims to identify the signs through the observation of the people who best know the child, their parents and teachers. All through a simple, mechanized and online system. It is important to see the opportunities that favor their growth in all stages of development.

The association offers this 10% discount code (SEN10A) to families who wish to use the díde platform to identify the problems that interfere with their children’s learning and development (the resulting report must be interpreted by an educational guidance professional) by entering díde family

The TDAH Palencia Association has prepared this IX edition with enthusiasm. #JornadaTDAHPalencia

And with the certainty of bringing together the interested people who decide to attend the conference around the same objective, the well-being of those affected by ADHD.
